Stir-fried beef with celery and carrots

  • 600g beef, cut lengthwise into matchstick-size shreds
  • 6 carrots, peeled and roughly grated
  • 1 celeriac, peeled and roughly grated
  • 100ml water
  • 700g ketchup (GF)
  • 5 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/3 red chilli, finely chopped
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper (GF)

 

 

Scenario:

Heat the canola oil in a wok and stir fry the beef for 6 minutes over a medium high heat. Add carrots and celeriac, lower the heat and stir-fry 5 minutes. Add 100ml water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring from time to time. Add ketchup, soy sauce, season with salt, pepper and chilli. Bring to the simmer, cook until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Serve with rice.

 

 

GF – make sure the ingredient doesn’t contain traces of gluten!
