Simple Pan Fried Beets

  • 2 large beets, washed and peeled
  • 3 large potatoes, washed and peeled
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 bunch fresh chives, snipped
  • salt and pepper (GF)

 

 

Scenario:

Slice beets and potatoes into 1cm slices. Pre-heat frying pan with oil on medium heat. Add beet and potato slices and fry for approx. 5-7 minutes on each side. Once potato slices are browned on both sides, transfer to a plate lined with paper towel to drain. Remove the paper towel. Season with salt and pepper. Add fresh chives. Serve hot.

 

 

GF – make sure the ingredient doesn’t contain traces of gluten!
