Red currants with sugar

  • 3/4 jar currants
  • 7 tablespoons cane sugar

 

 

Scenario:

Wash currants, drain in a sieve. Into a sanitized jar (150ml), pour a layer of currants, alternating with a layer of sugar until the jar is filled. Currants are ready to use the next day. Perfect for cakes and cookies! Store in a dark, cold place up to a week.
