There are several Green Way restaurants in the TriCity area. Green Way is a self-service style veggie chain restaurant with acceptable prices.

Most of the dishes that we have tried were OK. Nothing amazing though and not all were fresh. I particularly wanted to try the dessert-kind-of-dish with rice and fruit but – as many others – it was sold out… Permanently. We went there 3 or 4 times (but just because we didn’t find anything else safe for coeliacs), each time at a different time of the day – even for breakast – and there were dishes that were constantly sold out… So, yeah – there’s quite a good choice, not for real though…

But the worst thing was the staff! The rudest I’ve ever come across… Each time they were incredibly unfriendly and grumpy, I was seriously shocked at how they treated people! They didn’t bother to serve customers, when I asked about gluten-free options the waitress literally rolled her eyes and a few minutes later another waitress stood at the door and screamed at a customer who’d forgotten to pick his drink up. We overheard another angry customer who had to wait for his meal for a really long time. And when I complained about the rotten ingredients in my salad I didn’t even hear a „Sorry!”… And a smile?… Forget it! Seriously: if customer service is important to you, eat somewhere else…

The restaurant may be OK if you’re desperately looking for a gluten-free meal, but all in all I wouldn’t recommend it – my whole experience was totally spoilt by the terrible staff.
