Chilli peppers

homemade chilli2When it’s cold outside, we might like to use some warming up. Chilli is definitely one of these products that keeps the bodily temperature up, which is why it’s a great idea to use it while cooking.

Here are some other positive effects of chilli peppers on our organisms:

♠ they lower the risk of cardiovascular disorders (cayenne occurring in chilli has a positive effect on lowering cholesterol and triglicerides levels, lowers the blood plates aggregation that could otherwise effect in life threatening clots), they improve the circulation, dilute the blood, inhibit the risk of a heart attack,

♠ they reduce inflammation, for example in case of arthritis – by soothing the pain (thanks to the high capsaicin content),

♠ chilli peppers improve digestion by increasing the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, they also soothe the bloating,

♠ they are a good source of calcium which helps keeping bones and teeth healthy,

♠ they lower the blood glucose level, which makes them an ideal food for overweight people and diabetics,

♠ they improve the fat burning.

Warming, tasty and healthy! Feel free to include chilli peppers in your menu 🙂
