Au Petit Chalet in Geneve

genevewebsite-740x1024xsWe ended up here on a Sunday evening after finding a few other restaurants were closed because of Easter, so we were really glad this one was open. This cosy and appealing looking restaurant seemed hugely popular and was really busy, so we weren’t seated right away.

Once we got a table our order was taken pretty quickly, but nothing came for quite a long time. Nevertheless, staff seemed overstretched and extra busy, so we didn’t feel like we could blame anyone.

The food turned out to be quite tasty. Menu had a lot of variety: many different pizzas, fondues, and lots of other dishes like pasta, steaks, chicken, and so on. My friends were desperate to try a fondue and they were very pleased with their choice. The Swiss fondue was not for me though, because it contained gluten (the restaurant doesn’t offer gluten-free meals in the menu, but the waiter was kind enough to take a really good care of me and I was offered a few options). I had a real hankering for a steak with potatoes which was prepared for me in a gluten-free version and I was satisfied with this choice as well.

What more? Oooh! Of course, it was expensive, but everything in Geneva was 😉
